Phil continued our series Road to Recovery with a message about forgiveness. Phil reminded us of the story of the late Desmond Tutu and how he practiced radical forgiveness in the aftermath of the Apartheid’s oppression in South Africa. Phil also explored one of the more confusing passages about forgiveness, found in John 20:22-23, “And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
