Self-discovery is a theme that runs through so much of our culture. It is in books, movies, TV shows, and social media. We define ourselves by our job, our hobbies, our sport, our talent and then express it to the world. The problem with self-discovery is it is exhausting and when others don’t see us the same way we feel the need to defend who we are. The truth is your deepest self was hidden in Christ before you were even born. You were known by the creator before your first breath.
