Generation Alpha: Who are they and what do they need? Since 2010 another generational cohort has arrived on the scene: Generation Alpha. Two sessions will be dedicated to helping parents understand the unique influences and mindsets of Generation Alpha.
Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Threats: Have you considered how artificial intelligence will impact our children and teens? This session will unpack both opportunities and threats facing parents as they seek to navigate the impact of AI on growth and development.
The Anxious Generation: How do we help? This session will focus on understanding the anxiety our children and teens are experiencing. Parents will also be given tips for managing anxiety and addressing the underlying issues
Dr. Shelly Melia serves as the Program Director for the Master of Arts in Children’s Ministry and the Master of Arts in Family Ministry at Dallas Baptist University. She is a recognized scholar and sought-after expert in the psychological development and education of children and teens. Read her full bio here.
Friday night we would like to encourage couples to plan a date night – group together with friends, get a sitter and come learn from Dr. Melia, skills and information that will help your family life. Childcare will be provided on Saturday morning with registration.
