Work Progresses on New
Preschool Building
Preschool Building

Those who have driven around the west side of the church property have been able to see all of the activity going on. All of the demolition work has been carried out, and the old classrooms are there no more. Because of recent rains the project is about one week behind schedule, but a reasonable amount of fair weather should allow us to catch up. Completion of the building is scheduled for August, 2010.
Electrical systems have been updated, sewer and water connections established, and air conditioning is now operating in Fellowship Central. The heating system should be operating before any extreme cold sets in. All of the fill dirt needed has been brought in and compacted, and work will begin very soon on the piers and floor beams. If we can stay on schedule we should have the floor, structural, and roof work completed by the end of this year.
The new building will be two story with 23,000 square feet of space, replacing about 7000 square feet in the demolished area. It will contain enough space for all of our preschool programs, including nursery and mother
nursing areas and a laundry. The floor layout and other features will allow us to accommodate the needs more efficiently and with better security than in the past. We are expecting the new facility also to be attractive to prospective young parents.
An important benefit of the new preschool building is the release of large areas for use in the adult Bible School program. We are hoping the present crowding and inconveniences will just become memories in the past. Please continue to support the financing of this very much needed addition.
